base60 Consulting was founded upon the premise that there is considerable dissatisfaction with the Consulting engagement model within financial services. The value of consulting services is often eroded by heavily over-leveraged talent and engagement constructs that do not promote a mutually-incentivising delivery framework.

base60 Consulting provides business and industry leaders with a trusted partner that (i) brings valuable insights and capabilities to the table (ii) takes accountability and shares in the delivery risk and (iii) delivers services at a price-point that reflects genuine value

There are 3 core services that we provide to our clients to optimise their business:

Strategy: We enable our clients to formulate an achievable vision and strategy that can align the organisation towards shared goals and measurable business results

Architecture: We create a framework for delivery and operation that increases the likelihood of benefit realisation related to the organisations strategy and target operating model

Transformation: We partner with our clients to ensure that there is clear traceability between the execution and transformation of the business and the original strategy and business rationale

The business has been incorporated within the JDX group of companies (www.jdxconsulting.com) enabling us to leverage from the natural synergies between the businesses and providing our clients and our people with an integrated service offering from Business Strategy through to Business Operation and Remediation.

The base60 leadership team specialises in industry or market driven initiatives and have been involved in major programmes to create and transform essential financial market infrastructure including CCPs, Trade Repositories and a number of other vital central services.

Ryan has over 12 years experience within financial markets focused largely on OTC derivatives (all major asset classes) and securities markets.

Prior to joining base60 Ryan has spent the past 8 years working as a financial markets consultant for Sapient and DCG leading the Market Infrastructure and Initiatives practice that oversaw a number of high-profiles programmes for industry associations, financial market infrastructure and utilities.

Ryan has spent a significant portion of his career working along-side global universal investment banks running programmes or providing advice and research for major transformation initiatives to improve post trade efficiency.

Ryan is responsible for engagement oversight and runs some of our most challenging engagements with a current focus on Regulatory Reporting 2.0, Uncleared Margin rules, Client Engagement models, Blockchain and the utilitisation of Financial Markets.

Stuart has been in investment banking operations for over 20 years. Stuart started his career in the city with Merrill Lynch where he spent 8 years. During his time there, he was involved in a number of derivative operations functions and became the European Head of Derivatives Operations.

Stuart chaired a number of industry trade association steering committees and was Deutsche Bank’s board representative on a number of industry vendor Boards. More recently, Stuart drove Market Initiatives across both the Investment Bank, Transaction Bank and Asset Management.

In parallel to this external strategic investment-facing role, Stuart set up the Business Architecture function at Deutsche Bank. He was both the profession owner across the bank but instrumental in the creation and leadership around the Group Architecture function.

Stuart joined JDX in March 2014 and is responsible for identifying and embracing cutting edge technology and aligning them with both skilled and cost effective resources, reshaping the way institutions do business.
